The famous landscape photographer, Ansel Adams, once said, “You don’t take a photograph, you make it!” He also later stated, “A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense....” I have found BOTH insights to be true and they have radically transformed my photography over the years.
We have all heard the phrase, “Practice makes perfect,” but that is only PARTLY true. In reality, it is ALSO important to understand HOW to create the best photographic representation of what you see and feel with your heart as you snap that photo! The goal is NOT to make a record of an event, but rather, to share a visual story about an experienced moment in time!
